Toyota Celica Parts: the Key to Heavenly Performance

Celica

The Toyota Celica derived its name from the Spanish word “calico,” which means “from the heavens” or “celestial.” Just like other Toyota vehicles, Toyota Celica is well-acclaimed for its reliability on the road brought by its durable Toyota Celica parts and useful Toyota Celica parts accessories. Intended for motorists who feel youthful, love fun, and adore style, the Toyota Celica has proven to be more than just a basic means of transportation. After years of planning for the vehicle’s development that began as early as 1967, the Toyota Celica was finally rolled out for public consumption in 1971. It was modeled after the EX-1 “Car of the Future,” thus it exuded style that was considered radical at the time of its production. Its significance even extended to the launch of the sporty subcompact market segment.

Fixing Those Springs for Celica Gt-s

Celica

In hooking up a car, a set of lowering springs is a must. The springs have to be firm, but not too stiff. How many times have you seen lowered cars bouncing up and down? or more specifically, while the car is moving? When the car bounces, its contact patch gets inconsistent, increasing the chances of the tire losing complete grip, which is definitely not good. If the tire were to skip off the pavement for a split second while going into a turn, you could lose control of your car and wreck it.

Eibach has been manufacturing springs since 1951 and they make performance springs for almost every car out there. Two kits are offered for the Celica GT-S: Pro-Kit and Sport line. Pro-Kits would have lowered the car a little more than an inch. If you are on going with larger 17-inch wheels, Eibach recommends that you go with Sport lines, which lowers the car 1.8 inches up front and 2.4 inches out back. When using the Sportline kit, it is highly suggested that Eibach’s alignment kit is installed to bring the camber specs back into spec.

Keep Your Toyota in Shape

Celica

There have been rumors that Toyota will be releasing a new Toyota Celica 2009. This rumor started when Toyota brought to life the “interesting cars” committee shortly after acquiring a majority share in Subaru. They claim that there will be a return of the legendary AE86 Corolla Coupe from the 1980’s but some say it will be the 8th generation Toyota Celica.

We may call this the FT-HS, a concept? There have been leaked details that this new vehicle would be less than 4 meters in length, 1.7 meters wide and 1.35 meters high with a target weight of 1000kg.

As of this time, the Toyota Celica has released seven generations of this sporty vehicle since 1970. This has continued to attract customers especially the young ones, including the young once. My dad used to own a first generation model of this, and until now he desires to have the latest model of this nasty sports car. The Celica has been called the Supra for some of its recent models. There has been rumors that Toyota will be releasing an 8th generation model of its kind.

Toyota Celicas – Are They Viable Sports Cars?

toyota racing

Toyota Celicas have been around for quite some time now. Not quite as old as the Ford Pinto, but you know what I mean. Celicas have always been known for being the affordable sports car made by Toyota.

But, whats so special about this car? When in comparison to other similar priced cars, their quickness is no where near the performance that other cars can produce.

Not only that, Honda’s and Scion’s have much more aftermarket parts availiable for tricking out your ride. So, once in a while you’ll see a Black Toyota Celica in a street race, but if your a true racer, you’re not afraid of the Celica.

Modified Honda’s or Scion’s, even Chevy’s will blow away the Toyota. But that doesn’t stop Toyota lovers from their Celicas. Of course, they have their parts for modding, and they look pretty sweet, but when it comes down to racing, they just don’t cut it.
